ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a meeting with General Rudolf Heikal at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Islamabad, where both military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and expanding defence cooperation between Pakistan and Lebanon.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, General Heikal was accorded a guard of honour by the armed forces upon his arrival at GHQ.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral military relations, enhancing defence collaboration, and promoting peace and stability in the region. Discussions also focused on professional military exchanges, training cooperation, and deeper institutional engagement between the armed forces of both countries.

Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the significance of Pakistan’s long-standing and friendly relationship with Lebanon, reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s commitment to further expanding cooperation with the Lebanese Armed Forces in various defence-related fields.
General Heikal praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Pakistani Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace, stability, and international peacekeeping missions.
The visit underscores the shared determination of Pakistan and Lebanon to deepen military-to-military cooperation and further strengthen defence ties between the two nations.
