Pakistan Hajj DG Receives Prestigious Saudi Excellence Award

RIYADH: (Web Desk) – In a major international recognition for Pakistan’s Hajj management, Abdul Wahab Soomro has been awarded the prestigious Labbaytum Excellence Award for the second consecutive year.

The award was presented by Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah during the concluding ceremony of the Hajj 1447 AH season held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Labbaytum Excellence Award is one of the highest honors conferred by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on heads of international Hajj missions who demonstrate exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and innovation in serving pilgrims.

According to official details, the award recognizes outstanding performance in areas including discipline, service delivery, pilgrim facilitation, and the effective use of digital technologies to enhance the Hajj experience for the Guests of Allah.

Speaking after receiving the award, Soomro dedicated the achievement to the entire Pakistan Hajj Mission, praising the commitment and tireless efforts of officials and staff who worked throughout the pilgrimage season.

“This international recognition reflects the collective hard work of the entire Pakistan Hajj Mission. We are grateful to Almighty Allah for enabling us to serve pilgrims with dedication and excellence,” he said.

The achievement has been widely welcomed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, as well as diplomatic and social circles, which described the honor as a significant milestone for Pakistan’s Hajj administration.

Officials said the recognition highlights Pakistan’s continued efforts to improve pilgrim services and strengthen cooperation with Saudi authorities to ensure a smooth and well-organized Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims.
