Pakistani Players Shine At Asian Junior Squash Championship
Abdullah Nawaz leads Pakistan’s winning campaign in junior squash event
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistani squash players made an impressive start at the Asian Junior Squash Championship by securing victories in their opening-round matches across multiple age categories.
In the Boys Under-19 division, Abdullah Nawaz delivered a dominant performance against Indonesia’s Rizka Suleman, winning 3-0 with scores of 11-1, 11-3, and 11-5 in a 27-minute contest.
Pakistan also continued its strong momentum in the Under-17 category, where Umair Arif defeated Thailand’s Pemawat Ponsiripok 3-0 in just 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Noman Khan comfortably overcame China’s Liao Zhongyu with scores of 11-3, 11-3, and 11-4 in an 18-minute match.

In the Boys Under-15 event, Sohail Adnan cruised past Alexander Moratis in only 11 minutes, winning 11-2, 11-1, and 11-2.
Pakistan’s success continued in the Boys Under-13 category as Mustafa Khan secured a straight-games victory over Joseph Cheng.
In the Girls Under-15 division, Mahnoor Ali and Sehrish Ali also advanced after impressive performances. Mahnoor defeated Anna Oge, while Sehrish overcame Zhou Chenxuan in their respective matches.
