Ishaq Dar Holds Talks With Qatar On Regional Security Situation

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Monday with Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi to discuss regional security developments and matters of mutual interest.

During the conversation, both leaders reviewed the evolving regional situation and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomatic engagement in addressing ongoing challenges.

Minister Al-Khulaifi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and its continued diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional stability and de-escalation.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing shared goals of peace, stability, and prosperity across the region and beyond.

Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to discuss regional and international developments.

During their warm and cordial exchange, both leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and issues of mutual concern.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Qatari leadership for supporting Pakistan-led peace initiatives focused on de-escalation and regional stability.

The prime minister also appreciated Qatar’s constructive diplomatic role and its efforts to build consensus in support of ongoing mediation initiatives.

Both sides agreed on the importance of maintaining close coordination and continued dialogue among all stakeholders to address common regional challenges.

While conveying best wishes to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he looked forward to welcoming the Qatari Amir to Pakistan on an official visit in the near future.

The two countries also agreed to maintain regular high-level contacts to follow up on the outcomes of the discussions.
