PESHAWAR: (Web Desk) – A new expansion of the provincial cabinet was carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday as several ministers, advisers and special assistants were formally sworn into office during a ceremony held at the Governor House.
The oath was administered by Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, marking the addition of new members to the provincial cabinet following approval of a government summary.
According to reports, the provincial administration had earlier submitted a list of 18 proposed names, leading to the appointment of six new ministers, four advisers and eight special assistants as part of the cabinet expansion.
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had initiated the process by preparing and forwarding the summary aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative coordination in the province.

Among the newly appointed provincial ministers are Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, Shakeel Ahmed, Muhammad Adnan Qadri, Muhammad Arif, Tariq Mahmood Aryani and Shafiullah Jan, with the latter elevated from his previous role as special assistant on information.
The advisers appointed to assist the chief minister include Pir Musawar Khan, Liaquat Ali Khan, Humayun Khan and Mian Muhammad Umar, while several individuals have also been inducted as special assistants across different departments.
Officials say the cabinet expansion is intended to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure broader political representation within the provincial government structure.
