Pakistan Women Reveal Squad For England And Wales World Cup
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Fatima Sana has been appointed captain of the Pakistan women’s national cricket team for the upcoming tri-series in Ireland and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 scheduled to be held in England and Wales.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the Women’s National Selection Committee announced a 15-member squad for both tournaments. Pakistan will first participate in a tri-series in Dublin alongside hosts Ireland and West Indies from 28 May to 4 June as part of preparations for the global event.
Several players including Eyman Fatima, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen and Tasmia Rubab are set to feature in their maiden ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Fatima Sana, meanwhile, will lead Pakistan in the tournament for the second consecutive edition after captaining the side in the UAE in 2024.

Pakistan head into the tournaments with confidence after completing a dominant 3-0 T20I series sweep over Zimbabwe in Karachi. The series served as an important preparation platform for players ahead of the demanding international schedule.
Before the World Cup begins, Pakistan will play warm-up matches against Sri Lanka women’s national cricket team and Scotland women’s national cricket team in Derby on 6 and 9 June respectively.
Pakistan will open their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup campaign against arch-rivals India women’s national cricket team on 14 June at Edgbaston in Birmingham. They will then face South Africa, Bangladesh, Australia and Netherlands during the group stage.
The semi-finals are scheduled for 30 June and 2 July, while the final of the tournament will take place at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on 5 July.
