Anmol Pinky Case Sparks Uproar as Sharjeel Defends Police Action

Sharjeel Memon Says Media Overhyped Anmol Pinky Drug Case

KARACHI: (Web Desk) – Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the media gave excessive attention to the case involving alleged drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky, stressing that law enforcement efforts should instead be appreciated.

Speaking to reporters in Karachi, Memon praised the police for arresting the accused and stated that officers involved in the controversial court incident had already been suspended following departmental action.

He said the matter should not be viewed as an issue limited to Sindh alone, adding that drug-related crimes are a national concern affecting the entire country. According to Memon, media coverage should have focused more on supporting anti-narcotics efforts rather than sensationalizing the case.

Responding to a question regarding a possible 28th constitutional amendment, the minister said he was unaware of any discussions by the federal government on the matter. He added that if such an amendment is proposed, the Pakistan Peoples Party would respond according to its own political strategy.

Meanwhile, another controversial video of Anmol alias Pinky surfaced on social media following her arrest in a cocaine dealing case. Reports said the accused frequently uploaded videos online portraying herself as influential and fearless.

In the latest TikTok clip, the accused appeared confident while challenging police and law enforcement authorities. During the video, she made provocative remarks and claimed she had no fear, further fueling public debate surrounding the case.
