ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Overseas Pakistanis sent home US Dollar 3.53 billion in remittances during April 2026, reflecting an 11 percent increase compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.
However, on a month-to-month basis, remittances declined by 8 percent from March 2026, when inflows had reached 3.83 billion dollars.
The central bank reported that total workers’ remittances during the first ten months of fiscal year 2025-26 climbed to 33.86 billion dollars, representing an 8 percent rise compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances for Pakistan during April, with overseas Pakistanis in the Kingdom sending 841.7 million dollars.
The United Arab Emirates ranked second, contributing 734.7 million dollars, while other Gulf Cooperation Council countries collectively sent around 325 million dollars.

According to SBP figures, total remittance inflows from Middle Eastern countries reached nearly 1.9 billion dollars during the month.
Economic experts noted that despite the monthly slowdown, annual remittance growth remains strong, partly due to higher transfers recorded during the Eid season in recent months.
Pakistan aims to achieve approximately 41 billion dollars in remittance inflows by the end of fiscal year 2025-26, compared to 38 billion dollars received during FY25.
