ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Football Federation has announced that the Pakistan U-16 boys’ team has departed for Kazakhstan to participate in the UEFA U16 Boys Development Tournament 2026, scheduled from April 24 to 30.
The matches will be held at the Namys Stadium Biik Sports Complex, marking a historic moment as it is the first time Pakistan is taking part in a UEFA-related youth event.
The 19-member squad, selected by the national coaching staff, features a mix of promising young players from across the country. The tournament is expected to provide valuable international exposure, allowing the team to compete against UEFA-affiliated sides.
PFF President Syed Mohsen Gilani highlighted the importance of such opportunities, stating that access to European-level competition has long been limited for Pakistan’s youth players. He emphasized that tournaments like these are crucial for developing skills, confidence, and character at an early stage.
