ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The German Embassy in Islamabad has announced the temporary closure of its visa section due to road closures in the capital linked to security arrangements surrounding the next round of US–Iran negotiations expected to take place next week.

According to a statement shared by German Ambassador to Pakistan Ina Lepel on X (formerly Twitter), the visa section will remain closed from 20 April 2026 until at least 21 April 2026.

The ambassador stated that applicants are advised not to visit the visa section during this period, as all scheduled appointments will be rescheduled by the embassy.

The closure comes amid heightened security measures in Islamabad in connection with high-level diplomatic engagements involving US–Iran talks.

The embassy did not announce a specific reopening date beyond the initial suspension period but indicated that updates regarding rescheduled appointments would be communicated when required.
