Two young sisters die after falling off motorcycle, struck by tanker

Damaged Roads and Reckless Driving Claim Young Lives in Karachi as Families Demand Justice and Safer Streets

Nazimabad – (Web Desk) – Two young girls lost their lives in a heartbreaking accident late Monday night in Nazimabad No 1, Karachi. A boy who was with them was also slightly hurt.

The three were travelling together on a motorcycle when the bike lost balance on a damaged portion of the road. The two sisters fell off the motorcycle and were tragically run over by an oil tanker that was passing nearby.

Rescue officials and police confirmed that the tanker did not directly hit the motorcycle. The road’s poor condition is believed to have caused the bike to slip, leading to the fatal accident.

The boy riding the motorcycle suffered only minor injuries, and the motorcycle itself was not badly damaged.

Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the two girls to a nearby hospital. Sadly, both sisters passed away before doctors could treat them.

The driver of the oil tanker fled the scene immediately after the accident. However, police later arrested him, and the tanker has been taken into custody for further investigation.

Police identified the deceased as Easter and Angel, while the tanker driver was identified as Maroof Shah.

The incident highlights the ongoing issue of reckless driving by heavy vehicle drivers in Karachi, particularly in busy residential areas.

Residents have repeatedly voiced concerns over the unchecked movement of heavy vehicles, which often leads to fatal accidents.

Near Benazir Chowk in Ibrahim Hyderi, an unknown vehicle hit a motorcycle, killing a 10-year-old boy, Abdul Mussawar, son of Mehboob. The body was taken to Jinnah Hospital.
