KP Education – (Web Desk) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has taken firm action against 17 teachers who are accused of leaking multiple-choice questions (MCQs) during the ongoing matric exams. The teachers have been suspended for 120 days while the matter is being investigated.
The Chairman of BISE Peshawar confirmed that this step was taken following clear instructions from the KP government, which has made exam transparency a top priority. The board acted quickly to safeguard the integrity of the examination process and ensure that students get a fair chance.
The suspended teachers were working as invigilators or supervisory staff at examination centres in Peshawar and Charsadda. They were removed from their duties after preliminary evidence raised serious concerns about their involvement in the MCQ leak.
A formal inquiry has now been set in motion to look into the allegations thoroughly. If the charges are proven, the teachers could face even harsher consequences — including permanent dismissal from service. The authorities have made it clear that any attempt to compromise the exam process will not be tolerated.
Board officials emphasized that the future of students will not be compromised under any circumstances. “No form of malpractice or corruption in the examination process will be tolerated,” they stated.
Special measures have been put in place to prevent copying and paper leaks during the ongoing Matric examinations, while the board is also focusing on providing maximum facilities and a comfortable environment for students.

The Chairman made it clear that efforts to ensure transparency in the examinations will continue without any discrimination.
The move has been widely welcomed by parents and educationists who have long demanded strict action against elements involved in undermining the credibility of public examinations in the province.
