Israeli PM claims 70% of Iran’s steel production has been destroyed
Israel Hits Iran's Steel Heart as Strikes Cripple Weapons Production and Squeeze Revolutionary Guards
Israel vs IRAN – (Web Desk) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Friday that Israeli airstrikes have taken out roughly 70 percent of Iran’s steel making capacity. That is a massive blow to Iran’s ability to build weapons.
Steel matters a lot in military production. It goes into missiles, drones and warships. So hitting those factories is not just symbolic. It actually cuts into Iran’s war making power.
Netanyahu made the announcement in a video statement. He said Israel is working closely with the United States to weaken what he called the “terror regime” in Iran.
“We are eliminating commanders, bombing bridges and bombing infrastructure,” he said.
He added that destroying 70 percent of Iran’s steel production is a huge win. It cuts off money from the Revolutionary Guards and makes it much harder for them to produce weapons.
The strikes appear to be part of a broader and ongoing campaign. Israel seems focused on hitting Iran where it hurts most. Not just its military but its industrial backbone too.
Iran’s two largest steel plants have been forced out of action by several waves of US and Israeli air attacks.
Iran’s Khuzestan Steel Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company have said it would take months for them to restructure the plants.
Pakistan, Türkiye reaffirm strong commitment to regional peace
The Revolutionary Guards have since launched missile and drone strikes on industrial areas across the region and Israel in retaliation for the attacks on the steel plants.
The Guards also threatened further retaliation if such attacks happened again.
