Pakistan & Norway sign their first ever climate finance agreement
Pakistan and Norway join hands to fight climate change and boost clean energy investment under the Paris Agreement.
Pakistan and Norway – (Web Desk) – Pakistan and Norway have taken a significant step forward in their environmental cooperation by signing a landmark bilateral agreement focused on climate finance and clean energy investment. This historic deal, the first of its kind between the two nations, falls under the framework of the Paris Agreement.
The signing ceremony took place in Islamabad, hosted by Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, marking a new chapter in both countries’ commitment to tackling climate change and transitioning toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Musadik Malik said it would create a pathway for international cooperation and investment in climate-related sectors.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Norway’s Ambassador to Pakistan Per Albert Ilsaas said the agreement marked a new phase in bilateral environmental cooperation.
