Faysal Quraishi Defends Hania Aamir Podcast Fee Demand

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Renowned Pakistani actor Faysal Quraishi has shared his views on the debate surrounding Hania Aamir and the reported Rs2 million fee requested for appearing on a podcast hosted by Adnan Faisal.

The discussion surfaced during a Ramzan transmission hosted by Quraishi, where trending showbiz topics were being discussed. In a clip now circulating widely on social media, Quraishi asked Faisal about the controversy, referring to reports that a celebrity had demanded Rs2 million for a podcast appearance.

Responding to the question, Faisal said that if Hania Aamir requested that amount, it was completely her personal choice. However, he clarified that his platform has never paid such a high fee to any guest invited to the podcast.

Quraishi defended the actress and highlighted her popularity, saying that Hania Aamir is among the most prominent stars in Pakistan today and could legitimately command such compensation. According to him, her presence on the show could have significantly increased its visibility and attracted millions of viewers.

He also pointed out that many actors working primarily in the local television industry usually do not charge such large amounts. In contrast, he described Hania Aamir as an artist with international recognition and a wider audience reach.

The debate began earlier when Adnan Faisal appeared on a show hosted by Mathira and revealed that a fee of Rs2 million had been requested for Hania Aamir’s appearance on his podcast. Faisal explained that his platform typically does not pay celebrities for interviews, as paying one guest could create expectations among other invited personalities.
