Sindh Announces 2026-27 Academic Calendar and Holidays

KARACHI: (Web Desk) – The Sindh government has officially approved the curriculum calendar for the academic year 2026-27, outlining the start of classes, examination schedules, and holiday periods. The decision was confirmed during a meeting of the steering committee chaired by Sardar Ali Shah.

Key highlights of the calendar include:

• Academic Year Start: April 1, 2026

• Admissions:

  • Grades 9 and below: March 1–31, 2026

  • Grade 11: June 1 to last week of July, under the Central Admission Policy

• Examinations:

  • Grades 1–3: Promoted without exams

  • Grades 4–8: March 1–15, 2026

  • Grades 9–10: March 30–April 15, 2026 (Results: Grade 10 on June 1, Grade 9 on June 15)

  • Grades 11–12: April 15–30, 2026 (Results: Grade 12 on June 15, Grade 11 on July 1)

• Holidays:

  • Summer: June 1–July 31, 2026

  • Winter: December 21–31, 2026

The approved schedule aims to streamline the academic year, ensure timely examinations, and provide clarity to students, parents, and educational institutions.
