Birmingham Man Sentenced to 9 Years for Selling Drugs via Business Cards

Muhammad Ahmed Sentenced Nine Years for Birmingham County-Line Drug Operation

Birmingham: (Web Desk) – A 27-year-old Birmingham man, Muhammad Ahmed, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for distributing heroin and crack cocaine through an innovative county-line operation using business cards to promote his illegal trade.

Police said Ahmed, operating under the network known as “Jason,” was apprehended following a raid on his Spark Hill home in March 2025. Officers seized a substantial quantity of Class A drugs, cash, and ammunition. Ahmed initially attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle but was arrested within a week in Nechells.

Investigators found his mobile phone contained videos and photographs documenting drug preparation, packaging, and large amounts of cash, confirming the scale of his operation.

At Birmingham Crown Court, Ahmed was found guilty of supplying Class A drugs, possessing ammunition, holding criminal property, and multiple driving offenses committed between April 2024 and 2025.

West Midlands Police highlighted the dangers of county-line networks, which not only distribute drugs but exploit vulnerable individuals. Officials stated that the investigation has dismantled a significant drug network and encouraged the public to provide information for ongoing operations.
