WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that President Donald Trump is willing to hold talks with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, if Tehran signals readiness for dialogue. The remarks underline Washington’s stated preference for diplomacy rather than confrontation.

Speaking in an interview on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Rubio said President Trump favors reaching a negotiated settlement with Iran and remains open to direct engagement at the highest level.
