NDMA Forecasts Rain, Snow in Punjab, KP, GB, and AJK

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) — The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather alert forecasting widespread rain and snowfall across Pakistan from February 8 to 10.

Rain is expected in most districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir, with snowfall likely in hilly and mountainous areas, including Murree, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, and parts of Gilgit-Baltistan. Hailstorms and strong winds may also affect southern Punjab districts.

The NDMA cautioned that slippery roads and traffic disruptions could occur and advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel and follow safety guidelines. Relevant departments have been directed to remain on high alert for rescue operations and road clearance. Citizens are urged to follow official updates via the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert App.
