LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Pakistan completed a clean sweep against Australia in the T20 International series after registering a dominant 111-run victory in the final match, successfully defending a massive target of 208 runs.
Chasing the target, Australia were bowled out for just 96 runs, as Pakistan sealed a whitewash in the series. This marked Pakistan’s first T20I series win in seven years, having last whitewashed Australia in 2018.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss in the Lahore match and opted to bat first. The hosts posted a formidable total of 207 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Saim Ayub top-scored with 56 runs, while captain Shadab Khan contributed 46. Khawaja Nafi added 21 runs, whereas Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 50 and Faheem Ashraf finished not out on 10.
The total of 207 runs was Pakistan’s highest-ever score against Australia in T20 internationals, and the first time Pakistan crossed the 200-run mark against the Australians in the format.

In response, Australia struggled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack. Mohammad Nawaz delivered a match-winning performance, claiming five wickets for just 18 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up two wickets, while Abrar Ahmed and Naseem Shah took one wicket each.
Mohammad Nawaz was named Player of the Match for his outstanding five-wicket haul.
Speaking after Pakistan’s innings, Babar Azam said the team played according to the plan and managed to post a big total. He also praised the Lahore crowd for their constant support, adding that the team focused on good preparation and building long innings during the match.
