Pakistan bars passengers with incomplete, unverified travel documents abroad
Pakistan will block passengers with incomplete or unverified travel documents to prevent illegal immigration and protect its global reputation.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi – (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Saturday that Pakistan will prevent passengers with incomplete or unverified travel documents from flying abroad, as part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal immigration and misuse of visas.
The issue has drawn increasing attention following several arrests of both Pakistani and foreign nationals at airports in recent years for carrying forged documents.
During his visit to Karachi airport, Naqvi observed the immigration process, interacted with travelers, and checked for any difficulties in the system.
“Travelers with incomplete or unverified documents will not be allowed to depart under any circumstances,” Naqvi stated, according to the Interior Ministry.
Pakistan has also cracked down on individuals accused of exploiting visas to solicit money in Saudi Arabia, a practice officials warned was damaging the country’s image and could affect genuine visa-seekers.
Naqvi said Pakistan’s honor was above everything and no one will be allowed to tarnish the country’s image under any circumstances.
