Chinese Consul General Meets Naqvi, Reaffirms Pakistan-China Ties
LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren met with Federal Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore on Sunday, emphasizing the enduring strength of Pakistan-China relations.
During the meeting, Naqvi commended Zhao for his dedicated service as Consul General and wished him well, praising his efforts in deepening bilateral ties. Zhao, in turn, lauded Naqvi’s efficiency and leadership, noting his significant contributions to strengthening Pakistan-China relations both as Punjab chief minister and now as federal interior minister.

Zhao described his time in Pakistan, especially in Lahore, as memorable and pleasant. Naqvi expressed that Zhao’s absence would be deeply felt and described their relationship as brotherly. He also recalled his recent visit to China, highlighting a productive three-and-a-half-hour meeting with Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Zhaohong, and mentioned plans to visit China again in September.
The meeting concluded with Naqvi presenting Zhao a cricket bat signed by Pakistani players, while Zhao gifted him a book authored by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
