Another Pakistani province announces electric bike easy installment scheme 2026

The Balochistan government has announced the provision of electric bikes for government employees, students and ordinary citizens on easy installments as part of efforts to provide relief to the public.

The scheme was introduced by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, who said provincial resources would be utilised to facilitate the initiative. Under the plan, the government will offer a 30 percent subsidy on electric bikes, while the project will be implemented through bank financing to make payments affordable for beneficiaries.

In addition to the electric bike scheme, the chief minister also announced the launch of a comprehensive health insurance package for all government employees. He said the initiative would help reduce the financial burden on employees by ensuring better access to healthcare.

During the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Bugti expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for various educational and development initiatives undertaken in Balochistan.

It is worth recalling that the Punjab government has also launched an electric bike installment scheme through the Bank of Punjab for students, under which thousands of electric and petrol bikes have already been distributed among eligible college and university students.
