New Local Government ordinance approved by Federal Cabinet

Islamabad – Federal Cabinet, which convened in Islamabad on Friday, approved the introduction of a local government ordinance, a move expected to result in the postponement of local government elections in the capital.

The cabinet also endorsed the decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee for the Disposal of Legislative Cases (CCLC), according to sources.

The cabinet meeting was held under the chair of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
