PM Shehbaz Sharif Pays Tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto
Her sacrifices and services, he said, serve as a beacon of light for the nation, PM said.
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday paid tribute to former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, highlighting her unparalleled struggle for democracy, public rights, and the stability of Pakistan’s federation.
In a message on her martyrdom anniversary, PM Sharif said the nation was observing the anniversary of Pakistan’s prominent daughter, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. He noted that she promoted positive values such as tolerance, harmony, and forbearance in the democratic political process, which remained commendable.
“The contributions of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for the country and the nation will always be remembered. Patriotism is etched prominently in her political legacy,” the Prime Minister said, as quoted by the PM Office Media Wing.

He further praised her efforts to strengthen women’s roles, safeguard minority rights, and build a peaceful, progressive, and democratic Pakistan. Her sacrifices and services, he said, serve as a beacon of light for the nation.
PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of reaffirming the resolve to continue the journey of tolerance, patience, rule of law, and public welfare for which Shaheed Benazir Bhutto laid down her life.
He also prayed for the highest place in the afterlife for Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and patience for her family and admirers.
