Punjab Announces Winter Vacations for Schools and Colleges

Lahore: The Punjab Higher Education Department on Monday announced winter vacations for all public and private educational institutions in the province.

According to the official notification, all schools and colleges will remain closed from December 23, 2025, to January 10, 2026. Classes for colleges will resume on Monday, January 12, 2026, following a full/normal academic week.

The notification clarified that BS four-year programs will continue functioning during the vacation period. Additionally, all examinations will proceed according to the previously notified schedules of respective Boards and Universities.

Earlier, the Punjab government had also declared winter vacations for all schools across the province, effective from December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026, with classes set to resume on January 10, 2026.

The announcement ensures that academic activities are paused for the winter break while maintaining schedules for examinations and higher education programs.
