Dow Nursing Students Protest on MA Jinnah Road, Traffic Disrupted
KARACHI: (News Desk) – Traffic was disrupted on MA Jinnah Road on Saturday as a large number of nursing students from Dow Medical College staged a protest to press for their demands.
The demonstration caused a traffic suspension at Chand Bibi Chowk on Baba-e-Urdu Road, while traffic police diverted vehicles towards Lighthouse on MA Jinnah Road.
The protest follows a similar demonstration held on September 29 by nursing students affiliated with Dow University, who were protesting against the Semester-4 retake examinations.

The students had staged the earlier protest on the main road near Dow University, adjacent to Civil Hospital, causing significant disruption to traffic.
The nursing students are demanding a review of the retake examination date and examination fee, along with an extension in the deadline for submitting fee vouchers.
They have also called for relief for affected students, saying that despite negotiations with the relevant authorities, no breakthrough has been achieved.
The students said they would continue their protest until their demands are addressed.
