Honor 500 Pro to Launch With Ultra-Fast 3D Fingerprint Sensor
Honor announced that the Honor 500 Pro will come with a new 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
ISLAMABAD: Honor is preparing to launch the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro on November 24 in China. The company has already revealed the design of both smartphones and has now confirmed a major feature upgrade for the Pro model.
New 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor
Honor announced that the Honor 500 Pro will come with a new 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. This type of sensor is more secure and more accurate than the commonly used optical scanners.

Honor says the updated sensor unlocks the phone in just 0.1 seconds, even when the user’s hands or the screen are wet. The phone is also IP69K-rated, meaning it is built to handle high-pressure water exposure.
Rumored Specifications
Honor has not released the full specifications for the Honor 500 Pro. However, a recent leak suggests that the phone may include:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
- 8,000 mAh battery
- 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom
Meanwhile, the standard Honor 500 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
Honor will reveal complete details at the launch event later this week.
