ISLAMABAD: Pop superstar Lady Gaga has shared an honest account of her mental health challenges, revealing how therapy, her fiancé, and medical treatment helped her navigate some of her darkest moments.

The 39-year-old singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, admitted that she even took lithium while filming her acclaimed movie A Star Is Born. She described a period of severe mental instability that forced her to cancel her Mayhem Ball world tour due to overwhelming panic attacks.

“There was one day that my sister said to me, ‘I don’t see my sister anymore,’ and I canceled the tour,” Gaga recalled, highlighting the impact of her struggles on both her personal and professional life.

She also spoke about a terrifying moment when she had to seek psychiatric care in a hospital. “I needed to take a break. I couldn’t do anything… I completely crashed. It was really scary. There was a time where I didn’t think I could get better… I feel really lucky to be alive,” she said.
