Fakhar Zaman Included in Pakistan Squad for Tri-Nation T20 Series

Pakistani squad for the ODI series against Sri Lanka has arrived in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s aggressive opener Fakhar Zaman has been included in the national squad for the upcoming tri-nation T20 series, following his selection for the ODI squad against Sri Lanka. The series will also feature Zimbabwe alongside Sri Lanka.

Fakhar Zaman replaces middle-order batsman Hasan Nawaz in the squad, with Nawaz released to play domestic cricket and focus on improving his performance in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani squad for the ODI series against Sri Lanka has arrived in Islamabad. Players will rest today and begin practice sessions tomorrow. The three-match ODI series will be played at Pindi Stadium on November 11, 13, and 15.

The tri-nation T20 series will follow, running from November 17 to 29. The series will start at Pindi Stadium, with the final matches, including the decider, scheduled at Qaddafi Stadium.

Pakistan recently defeated South Africa 2-1 in the ODI series. During the same tour, South Africa drew the two-match Test series 1-1, while Pakistan won the T20 series 2-1.
