Customs Enforcement Quetta Seizes Crystal Ice Worth Rs 18.67 Billion

This operation highlights the Pakistan Customs’ continued vigilance and commitment to preventing the trafficking of illegal narcotics.

Quetta— Customs Enforcement Quetta successfully intercepted a large consignment of Crystal Ice (Methamphetamine) worth approximately Rs 18.67 billion, foiling a major smuggling attempt.

Acting on authentic information received by the Collector Customs (Enforcement), Quetta, the staff of Field Enforcement Unit (FEU) Noshki, under the guidance of Additional Collector and Assistant Collector Field Enforcement Unit Noshki, stopped a Hino 6-wheeler truck (registration TKR-313, Lasbela) traveling from Taftan to Quetta.

During a detailed inspection, authorities discovered a modified fuel tank beneath the truck’s rear body containing boxes wrapped in plastic bags. Two men present in the vehicle, later identified as Babul s/o Dil Murad and Amin Baloch s/o Hussain, both residents of Hoshab Tehsil Kech Turabat, District Kech, failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the contents.

The boxes and vehicle were brought to the FEU premises for further examination, which revealed 300 kg of Methamphetamine (Crystal/Ice). The combined estimated value of the seized narcotics and vehicle is around Rs 18.67 billion.

An FIR has been lodged, and both suspects have been arrested. Authorities confirmed that further investigation into the smuggling network is ongoing.
