GAZA/ISRAEL – Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump and envoy involved in the Gaza peace process, has stated that Palestinian resistance group Hamas is honoring its commitments under the ceasefire agreement.
According to international media, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Kushner have departed for Israel in an urgent diplomatic mission aimed at saving the Gaza ceasefire agreement from collapse.
Reports also confirm that a senior Hamas delegation, led by Khalil al-Hayya, has arrived in Cairo to hold talks with Egyptian officials on ensuring the implementation of the truce.

Speaking to the press, Kushner expressed optimism about the peace efforts, saying, “Hamas is following through on its promises. The Gaza ceasefire agreement will be 100% successful. We cannot afford its failure.”
Despite these statements, the situation on the ground remains volatile. After heavy bombardments that killed dozens of Palestinians, the Israeli military has now announced the reimplementation of the ceasefire.
However, violations continue to cast a shadow over the agreement. Since the ceasefire officially began on October 10, Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 98 Palestinians — 45 of whom were killed just since yesterday morning.
The international community is closely watching the developments, as hopes for a lasting peace in Gaza remain fragile amid ongoing tensions and bloodshed.
