Security forces kill 34 terrorists in numerous encounters in KP.

Pakistan's military intensifies its counterterrorism campaign, neutralizing dozens of India-backed militants in recent operations.

KP – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Pakistan’s military has reported that its security forces killed 34 terrorists in a series of operations over three days. The military stated that these terrorists were supported by India. The operations took place in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the official military statement, the forces targeted a group known as the Pakistani Taliban, which the government has banned. The operations were based on intelligence and carried out in the North Waziristan, South Waziristan, and Bannu areas.

The first operation happened in North Waziristan. After a fierce gunfight, security forces killed eighteen terrorists. In a separate action in South Waziristan, troops engaged in another intense firefight and killed eight more terrorists.

A third encounter in the Bannu district led to the deaths of eight additional terrorists. The military says it is now clearing these areas to find any remaining fighters linked to foreign support.

The statement confirmed that Pakistan’s relentless campaign against terrorism will continue at full strength. The goal is to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country. This comes as Pakistan sees a rise in terrorist attacks, especially after a ceasefire with the Pakistani Taliban ended in late 2022.

Last week, a senior military official shared data on these efforts. So far in 2025, thousands of operations have been conducted, leading to the deaths of hundreds of terrorists. He explained that the increase in violence is due to several factors. These include the use of Afghanistan as a base for operations against Pakistan, the flow of modern weapons to militants, and local support for terrorist activities.
