Nine countries face UAE visa ban; Pakistan spared.

The UAE's new visa restrictions impact nine nations, causing uncertainty for workers and travelers from those countries.

United Arab Emirates – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The United Arab Emirates has put a new visa rule in place for 2026. This rule temporarily stops people from nine specific countries from getting new visas. These countries are from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. People from these places cannot apply for tourist visits or new jobs right now.

The countries on this list are Uganda, Sudan, Somalia, Cameroon, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Bangladesh. The UAE will not process new applications from these nations for now. It is important to know that this rule does not affect people who already live in the UAE with a valid visa. Their current status remains the same.

The UAE government has not given an exact reason for this decision. Some reports suggest it could be related to security matters or certain health rules that started during the pandemic. The UAE has taken similar temporary steps in the past with other countries.

This situation is difficult for many workers who were planning to find a job in the UAE. It has created uncertainty for people from Bangladesh and several African nations. For everyone else, the visa application process continues as normal. All travelers must still follow the country’s health and safety rules when they visit.
