Senior Hurriyat Leader Prof. Abdul Ghani Bhat Passes Away in IIOJK

Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat leader and prominent Kashmiri intellectual, Professor Abdul Ghani Bhat, has passed away in Sopore, located in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He was widely regarded as one of the most fearless and principled voices in the Kashmir freedom movement.
The news of his passing was confirmed by his representative in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Zahid Safi. In a statement, Safi said that Professor Bhat had left behind a lasting legacy of unwavering dedication to the cause of Kashmir’s self-determination. He described him as a towering figure who devoted his entire life to the just struggle of the Kashmiri people.
“Professor Bhat was not only a political leader but also an intellectual guide,” said Safi. “His speeches and writings illuminated the path for many. His wisdom, vision, and unshakable resolve will be remembered for generations.”
