Sindh Govt Actively Providing Relief Amid Flood Emergency: Sharjeel Inam Memon

Sharjeel Memon further noted that 183 fixed and mobile health facilities are operational throughout Sindh.

Karachi – Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to supporting people affected by natural disasters and emergencies. He stated that the Sindh government remains fully active in providing relief and ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens during such critical times.

In an official statement, the minister said that victims are not only being relocated to safer areas but are also being provided with essential facilities, including food, clean water, medical care, and animal welfare support.

“The Sindh government stands firmly with the people and will never leave them alone in times of crisis,” Memon said. “All government departments, district administrations, and rescue teams are working tirelessly to save lives and protect property.”

He reported that floodwaters remain at a high level in Guddu and Sukkur, while Kotri is currently experiencing low flood levels. Over the past 24 hours, 3,522 people have been shifted to safer locations, bringing the total number of evacuees across the province to 173,027. Out of these, 469 individuals remain housed in relief camps.

Sharjeel Memon further noted that 183 fixed and mobile health facilities are operational throughout Sindh. In the last 24 hours alone, 4,174 patients were treated, raising the total number of treated individuals to 92,958 since the relief operations began.

Highlighting the government’s efforts to protect livestock, the minister stated that 3,192 animals were relocated to safer areas in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of relocated cattle to 450,571. In addition, 39,589 animals received vaccines and medical care during the same period, with the total treated and vaccinated livestock reaching 1,305,573.

The minister concluded by assuring the public that relief efforts would continue without interruption and that the government is committed to minimizing the impact of the ongoing floods on both people and livestock.
