Second suspect held in Raiwind brothers murder case

Raiwind – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – A lawyer for the victims’ family says police have arrested another person connected to the brutal Raiwind attack. This comes after a horrifying video spread widely online.

The video clip showed street vendors violently beating two brothers on a public road. The victims were seen lying in blood while attackers with clubs hurt them. Sadly, one brother died at the scene. The other passed away from his injuries a few days later.

Authorities had already caught the main suspect earlier this week. He was given to a special police unit for further investigation.

The family’s lawyer, Ali Ahmed Awan, shared that police used modern technology to find and arrest this key suspect in Sahiwal. He had been hiding there since the attack.

Mr. Awan stated that three of the six named suspects are now in custody. He is happy with the police efforts to find the others and hopes for strong legal action.

The case began when the brothers stopped to buy fruit. A fight over money led the cart owner to attack them and call others for help. The father reported the crime under charges of rioting and murder.

This event follows a similar case in Karachi, where a viral video led to the arrest of a business owner for beating a citizen.
