This tragedy comes just weeks after another fatal incident in the Kasur district of Punjab, where eight people lost their lives in a similar van crash on February 21. The victims were returning from a wedding when their vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a ravine after the driver reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel.

Rescue operations are ongoing in Haveli, with authorities urging caution due to the icy conditions on the region’s mountain roads.
