Islamabad (Sports Reporter) – The Pakistan Women’s Lacrosse Team is set to make its mark on the international stage, with the team preparing to participate in the prestigious Okinawa Open Lacrosse Championship in Japan from February 14-18, 2025. In preparation for this momentous event, the national team will undergo a rigorous training camp starting this week in Islamabad.
The Pakistan Lacrosse Federation (PLF) has announced that the national team will join an international training camp to enhance their skills and strategies using cutting-edge techniques. This camp is a crucial part of the team’s preparation for the championship and future international competitions.
Taifoor Zarin, Secretary General of the Pakistan Lacrosse Federation, revealed that the Islamabad Lacrosse Association has successfully arranged all logistics for the camp. The training initiative will be conducted in two phases. The first phase kicks off with players from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and the Islamabad lacrosse team reporting to the camp on January 7. The second phase will see the selected athletes for the Okinawa Championship joining the camp by January 10, with training scheduled to begin on January 11.
A total of 30 talented female athletes will undergo world-class coaching at the camp. From this group, 15 will be chosen to represent Pakistan at the Okinawa Championship, marking an important milestone for the sport in the country.

Zarin expressed confidence about the growing popularity of lacrosse in Pakistan, sharing his vision of a future where the national team will proudly raise the green crescent flag on international grounds.
