MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly unanimously approved a resolution presented by former Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, condemning the US government’s attempts to alter the regional balance of power in favor of India. The resolution emphasized that Pakistan’s missile program is solely for defense and preventing India’s hostile intentions.
Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan stated that the US government’s actions are influenced by the Indian lobby and demonstrate a complete misunderstanding of Pakistan’s defensive strategy. He assured the people and government of Pakistan that the Kashmiri people will stand with them against any aggressive Indian intentions.
Former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan criticized the US for trying to establish India as a regional police station, with Pakistan being the only obstacle. He also highlighted the involvement of foreign hands in sabotage within Pakistan.
Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir State Chaudhry Anwarul Haq reaffirmed the region’s unwavering support for the Pakistani army, emphasizing the crucial role of missile technology and nuclear programs in ensuring national security.
Haq’s remarks came during a discussion on a resolution presented by former Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan at the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The prime minister cautioned that without a robust defense system, countries risk facing devastating consequences, citing Libya, Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza as examples ¹.
Haq also addressed the Battal incident, stressing the importance of accurate information and reasonable discussion within the framework of the constitution. He underscored that national security is not a topic for controversial debates.
In emphasizing the significance of missile technology and nuclear power, Haq noted that no political leadership can deny their importance. This stance reflects the region’s commitment to prioritizing national security and defense capabilities.
Leaders from various parties, including the Leader of the House Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, Maulana Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah, and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Mian Abdul Waheed, participated in the discussion and supported the resolution. They emphasized the need for Pakistan to defend its life, property, honor, and dignity, as ordained by the Holy Quran and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
