Popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai, who boasts 8.1 million followers, and his wife, Aroob Jatoi, also a content creator, were briefly detained by the Lahore police.
Their arrest followed the posting of social media content in which they were seen brandishing weapons, prompting an investigation. Both Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi have a substantial following among young viewers in Pakistan, with Ducky Bhai frequently finding himself at the center of controversies related to his content.
In addition to the weapon-related post, the couple faced allegations of shouting anti-government slogans and expressing support for ongoing protests in the country. While no official statement was released by the couple, a reporter from Samaa TV noted that they each blamed one another for sharing the contentious content.
The couple has since been released and returned home.
