Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar Highlights Success of Malaysian PM’s Visit
Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar addressed a press conference, highlighting the successful visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to Pakistan. Tarar attributed this achievement to the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has made significant strides in foreign policy.
“Pakistan enjoys brotherly and friendly relations with Malaysia, fostering increased trade and investment,” Tarar said. The Prime Minister of Malaysia took forward matters regarding trade and investment with Pakistan during his visit.
Halal meat and rice exports from Pakistan to Malaysia will increase, with 100,000 tons of rice to be exported. This development is expected to boost Pakistan’s economy.
“Pakistan’s economy is strengthening, with visits from world leaders contributing to stability,” Tarar emphasized. The country’s exports have increased, and the trade deficit has decreased.
Pakistan will host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference, with 12 country heads attending. This is a significant honor for Pakistan, showcasing its importance on the global stage.
Tarar noted that every country is speaking positively about Pakistan, recognizing Prime Minister Sharif’s effective advocacy for Palestine and Kashmir at the United Nations. The Prime Minister’s speech was the most watched globally, with even the opposition praising his efforts.
Pakistan bears the brunt of climate change, and Prime Minister Sharif raised this issue before the world. The government is prioritizing convenience for the people.
The IMF program is strengthening Pakistan’s economy, with the IMF and World Bank praising the country’s economic progress. The increase in the number of filers will have a positive impact on the economy.
Bloomberg recently praised the Pakistani stock market. “The entire world recognizes the performance of the Prime Minister,” Tarar said.
Inflation has decreased to 6.9%, and the government is working to reduce transport fares. Tarar advised Ali Amin Gandapur to focus on reducing fares in Peshawar.
Protesting on occasions like the SCO conference sends a negative message. “We have to show the positive identity of Pakistan to the world,” Tarar emphasized.
