Sindh High Court Issues Bailable Warrant for Interior Secretary
The Sindh High Court has issued a bailable warrant for the arrest of the federal interior secretary due to the official’s noncompliance with court directives.
Following this order, the senior superintendent of police (SSP) in Islamabad has been tasked with ensuring the warrant is executed.
The interior secretary had previously been instructed to remove the names of Amina Jatoi and her two children from the Exit Control List (ECL). The court noted that the secretary had not adhered to this order.
The Sindh High Court has mandated that the interior secretary appear before the court and submit a surety bond by October 4. The Islamabad police have received the warrant and are expected to act in accordance with the court’s directives.
