Rawalpindi-Mudassar Iqbal:-City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani has assured that the Rawalpindi Police will provide foolproof security for the Indian cricket team if they come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Addressing a press conference at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, CPO Hamdani said that over 5,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure the safety of the teams and spectators.
He highlighted that Rawalpindi has a reputation for hosting high-profile events, including international cricket matches, and that the police force is well-equipped to handle large crowds. CPO Hamdani also emphasized that the people of Rawalpindi love cricket and will make the Indian team feel welcome.
In response to a question, CPO Hamdani consoled the Indian Cricket Board, saying that they should send their team without any concerns about security.
