Karachi: Sindh LEAs Seize Rs 15 Million Worth of Smuggled Iranian Oil in Karachi Operation, Sindh Rangers, in collaboration with the Police and Customs, have intercepted illegally smuggled Iranian oil valued at Rs 15 million during an operation near the Northern Bypass.
According to a spokesperson, the joint operation was launched based on intelligence gathered by Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Sindh Police, and Customs Enforcement. The action targeted the Fast Oil Baloch Filling Station, where more than 100 individuals reportedly threw stones at customs officials, allowing several Mazda trucks to flee the scene.
Prompt intervention by Pakistan Rangers Sindh and the Police ensured control over the situation. Five oil tankers have been dispatched to transport the illegally obtained Iranian oil from underground tanks to the Customs Collectorate for further legal proceedings.
The spokesperson emphasized that Sindh Rangers will continue their efforts to eradicate drug trafficking and smuggling activities. The seized Iranian oil has been handed over to customs authorities as part of ongoing efforts to enforce law and order.
