LAHORE: Pakistan’s fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, is set to receive substantial compensation despite opting out of The Hundred League in favor of commitments to the Global T20 League. Reports from British media indicate that Afridi will be compensated with over 17 lakh 61 thousand rupees by The Hundred League management.

Shaheen Afridi’s decision to prioritize the Global T20 League over The Hundred League led to Welsh Fire retaining him for £100,000, with New Zealand’s Matt Henry subsequently joining as his replacement. Afridi is also entitled to £5,000 in image rights compensation, a standard provision for players in the tournament.
