According to Station Director, Radio Pakistan Peshawar Muhammad Tufail, On 9 May, when an angry mob attacked, the Yadgar Chagai was first brutally burnt.
The auditorium and reception were destroyed by miscreants, the building was mercilessly looted by the angry mob, who also set it on fire.
It seems that the enraged crowd used standard attack strategies and had firearms as well. Around 250 to 300 people attacked and burnt our computers, furniture and other valuables.
Muhammed Tufail further reveals that they attempted to stop them from burning the national heritage and repeatedly tried to stop them from doing this.The people responsible for this tragedy should be punished as it is not a matter of burning a building but of national heritage.

The Admin officer of Radio Pakistan Peshawar expressed that the miscreants broke the cameras and started breaking doors, the attackers also had a large number of weapons due to which we could not resist much.
He further said that the miscreants who have done this to our home should be severely punished because Radio Pakistan is like our home.
