Youth Empowerment Program Expands its Horizons: Rana Mashhood

Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Youth Empowerment Program Chairman Rana Mashhood has announced plans to broaden the scope of the initiative, aiming to address various challenges faced by the country.
During a media interaction in Islamabad on Thursday, Rana Mashhood emphasized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif‘s commitment to the Charter of Economy and the need for structural reforms in Pakistan’s economic landscape. He highlighted the emergence of positive indicators, such as increased foreign investment, indicating the country’s economic resilience.
Mashhood stressed the importance of empowering youth, stating that their hard work will be rewarded based on merit. He underscored the pivotal role of three key sectors – IT, agriculture, and skill development – in propelling Pakistan forward.
“The vision of the Prime Minister is to establish a $15 to $25 billion IT industry,” Mashhood stated, reflecting the government’s aspirations for technological advancement and economic growth.
Furthermore, Mashhood underscored the significance of digitization in the contemporary era, noting the exponential growth of the gaming industry, which now stands as a multi-billion-dollar sector. In light of this, he announced plans to collaborate with international sports organizations to introduce Pakistan’s first e-sports initiative, aligning with the spirit of the Olympics and Asian Games.
