Young Cricketer Najam Naseer Kiani from Azad Kashmir Achieves International Honor

BAGH: (Web Desk) – A talented young cricketer from District Bagh, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Najam Naseer Kiani has achieved another major milestone at the international level. He has been selected to play in the Global Cricket League USA a proud moment for Azad Kashmir especially for the people of District Bagh.

Najam Naseer Kiani belongs to village Hammohra District Bagh. He is known as a left-handed aggressive batsman and a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. His hard work, dedication and consistency have helped him earn recognition at both national and international levels.

He began his cricket journey with the AJK Under-16 and Under-19 teams and later became part of the AJK regional first-class team. His talent was further acknowledged when he was selected for the Pakistan Under-19 National Cricket Academy camp.

Najam also remained part of the Lahore Qalandars Player Development Program (PDP) where he trained under top coaches and learned alongside national and international players. He represented Jammu Janbaz in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) under the mentorship of legendary cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi. During this time he shared the field with renowned players like Faheem Ashraf, Shehzad Farhan, Kamran Akmal, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohammad Amir.

He also represented Sukkhur Patriots (SPL) and proved his skills in Grade-II cricket. Now by joining the Global Cricket League USA he has reached a new and proud chapter in his career.

The Global Cricket League USA is a professional T20 league approved by USA Cricket and the International Cricket Council (ICC). The league will be played from January 23 to February 1, 2026 at Broward County Cricket Stadium Florida. Teams will arrive and begin preparations from January 16. Six franchise teams representing major US cities will participate, and the matches will be broadcast live worldwide.

People of the area, cricket fans, and sports circles have warmly welcomed this achievement.

They hope that Najam Naseer Kiani will continue to perform at the global level and bring pride not only to Azad Kashmir but also to Pakistan.
