Wasim Focused on Consistency for Positive Results in Qualifiers

Islamabad: Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Head Coach Mohammad Wasim expressed confidence in the team’s preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Wasim stated that the team is well-prepared and hopeful of securing a spot among the top two teams to qualify for the prestigious event.

Wasim highlighted the importance of the warm-up matches, which allowed the team management to finalise key combinations for the qualifiers. “We are content with how the team is shaping up. Victory always boosts confidence, and we want the players to carry this momentum into the qualifiers,” he said.

The coach noted that the 50-over format suits the current squad, with growing stability in the batting lineup. “Our bowlers, both pacers and spinners, are in rhythm. Bowling has always been our strength, and now our batters are also showing a good response,” Wasim added.

Although acknowledging strong competitors like the West Indies and Bangladesh, Wasim stressed the team’s focus on maintaining consistency throughout the tournament. “We expect positive results in the World Cup qualifiers,” he concluded, expressing his optimism ahead of the qualifiers.
